Privacy Policy
CareRank is built by Mehyar Soft LLC ("we"). This policy covers carerank.mehyar.us specifically — what we collect when you take the quiz, get matches, or buy the $29 report, and what we never do with it.
What we collect
- Quiz answers. Your ZIP code, priority weightings, selected care needs, distance and star preferences. We use these to score facilities and generate your shortlist.
- Email address — only if you give it to us. Used to send your free matches, your paid report link and receipt, and occasional genuinely useful follow-ups. Every email includes one-click unsubscribe (unsubscribe anytime, one click).
- Purchase records for the $29 report (processed through our checkout provider). We never see or store your card number — payment details go directly to the payment processor.
- On-device storage. Your quiz answers and email are kept in your browser's localStorage so your results survive a refresh. Nothing else is tracked — no advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers.
What we never do
- We never sell, rent, or share your email or quiz answers with data brokers, marketers, or facilities.
- We never send your information to nursing homes. If you want to contact one, you call them — we don't do lead-gen.
- We never invent facility ratings. Every star shown comes from CMS data; unrated homes render as "not rated".
A note on health information
CareRank is not a healthcare provider and is not subject to HIPAA. The quiz asks about categories of care (e.g. dementia, rehab) — never names, diagnoses, or medical records. Please don't enter information you wouldn't be comfortable sharing, and never enter anyone else's personal details.
Unsubscribe & deletion
Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribe.html works anytime with no login. Want your data deleted entirely? Email info@mehyar.us from the address you used and we'll remove your email, quiz answers, and purchase-associated contact record within 7 days.
Data retention
Free-match emails: kept until you unsubscribe, then suppressed permanently. Purchase records: kept as required for tax and accounting. Quiz answers sent with a purchase are kept with the order so we can regenerate your report.
Children
CareRank is for adults researching care for a parent or loved one. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
